The re-cycling process begins with a thorough evaluation of the returned powder, including chemical composition, particle size distribution (PSD), morphology, and gas content. Every batch is logged and assigned a unique batch ID, ensuring full traceability and compliance with internal and external quality standards. Powders are then subjected to a combination of sieving, air classification, and conditioning techniques to separate usable fractions from fines, agglomerates, or contaminants. 

Powder Blending

Following separation, powders may be blended with virgin material where required to achieve target chemistry and particle characteristics. Rigorous testing is performed throughout, including:

  • LECO oxygen and nitrogen testing to ensure ultra-low gas content.

Recycled powders are securely packaged and issued with a new Certificate of Conformance (CoC), certifying that the material meets the customer’s specifications and is suitable for downstream processing.
